FAQs

What should I expect?
When you arrive at SSBC, you will be greeted by friendly smiles. There will be complimentary coffee ready for your enjoyment while you find a seat. There is a countdown so you will know when Worship Service begins.

Where do I go when I arrive?
We have multiple buildings on campus! We have plenty of helping hands to escort to where you need to go.
Building A is where our Worship Center is.
Building B is our where our old Worship Center used to be – it has a tall pillar on top of the building.
This is where Nursery is at for our kids who are 0-3 Years. This is also where our SSBC Kids’ Church is at for Pre-K to 3rd Grade.
On Sundays, 4th and 5th Graders sit with their parents during Worship service.
When you arrive, you will be greeted and checked in to the SSBC Kids’ ministry.

What is service like?
A typical service will last about 80 minutes. We sing worship songs that draw you into God’s presence that is led by our worship team.
Our Pastors preach the Word of God and present the Gospel clearly every Sunday.

What about my kids?
Our SSBC Kids’ ministry provides an engaging experience for your children. When you arrive, you will fill out a registration form on our iPads for your child to receive a name badge. At the end of service upon the entrance of Building B, your child’s name will be called and released to you.

What should I wear?
Come comfortable and just as you are! We aren't focused on what you wear or what you look like.

How can I know more about your church?
“Starting Point” is the perfect place to begin to discover your church home here at South Shelby. It introduces you to everything you need to know about South Shelby and guides you with the necessary tools to live as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
Starting Point meets on Sundays at 9a in Building B as a Connect Group.
You can meet new guests alongside you and find your home here at SSBC.

How can I be involved?
We have a place for you and your family from youngest to oldest! Our ministries and teams are where you can connect with others and become part of our community. It all changes when you become the Church, instead of just simply coming to it!

What are Connect Groups?
Connect Groups are groups of people who meet on church campuses and homes to provide a way for you to grow in your walk with Christ and build relationships. We were never meant to do life alone! These groups change and begin two times a year.

Do you have something for my age group?
Our church is multi-generational, so we are proud to be able to offer ministries and teams for all ages!
All age demographics are important to the life of SSBC.
