Our church was founded in 2001 by a small group of believers. After a short period in the Kingdom area of Columbiana, Alabama, in 2005 we found ourselves back in Shelby where we call home. Over the years, South Shelby has been a beacon to the surrounding area through our local, state, domestic, and global ministries.
We are members of the Alabama State Board of Missions through the Cooperative Program, the Shelby Baptist Association, and the Southern Baptist Convention.
South Shelby is continuing to walk out what Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19-20,
"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”.
