Camp ToKnowHim

Camp ToKnowHim is a secluded retreat located in the mountains of northeast Alabama. We encourage all of our students to be a part of this fun, faith-filled trip to grow closer to both God and their fellow peers!

Friday, June 20th - Monday, June 23rd, 2025

Throughout the weekend, students will be consumed in team games, thought-provoking Bible studies, and delicious food with some free time throughout the day to connect with their fellow peers. Every year, students make new connections (both with God and their peers) that persist past camp and carry over into their everyday lives.
How much does camp cost?
Camp tuition covers all transportation, dormitory arrangements, meals and snacks, game prep, and a t-shirt. In 2025, the total camp tuition to Camp ToKnowHim is $165.
  • To reserve your spot at camp, we require a non-refundable $50 deposit on or by Sunday, March 30th, 2025.
  • The remaining $115 balance for camp is due on or by Sunday, June 1st, 2025.

Who can attend summer camp?
We highly encourage all of our students who are apart of SSBC Students to attend summer camp. This camp is intended for current 6th graders through current 12th graders.
  • Current 5th graders/rising 6th graders who will not be starting 6th grade until fall 2025 are not permitted to attend summer camp, but are encouraged to join next year!
  • Current 12th graders who will be graduating in Spring 2025 are permitted to attend summer camp.

Students are encouraged to bring friends on our summer camp, we love new faces! Keep in mind, new friends are required to attend the mandatory info meeting in June (exact date is TBD) as well as attend at least two Wednesday night youth group services prior to the trip.
Where can I get more details about this trip?
A general information sheet can be found by clicking here. We are currently in the process of updating our summer camp handbook to include dress codes, day-to-day tentative schedules, our code of conduct, and answers to more specific questions. The camp handbook can be found under this section of the student page when completed.

Closer to camp, a mandatory meeting will be scheduled in June for all students and parents of students to attend for informational purposes. We will have a mandatory meeting option on both a Wednesday night and a Sunday morning. Participants do not need to attend both meetings, but must attend at least one meeting.
Please note that the camp mandatory meetings in June are different than the camp interest meetings that took place in February.
